There’s a saying in Brazil that says: “God is Brazilian” and when I see that there are places like Barra Nova – Guriri – São Mateus – ES, I’m forced to agree with that. The truth is that nature was too generous when planned put encrusted that piece of paradise at the end of an island in the middle of nowhere. I would say that I’m very lucky that once have had the chance to be there.
When I was referred by a friend of mine to perform at Pousada Aratu, I could not imagine what would lie ahead of me (I had been in Barra Nova few years before but the guesthouse did not exist that time).
The first thing you see when you get into the premises is a group of extremely friendly and attentive staff, from the receptionist to the waiter. The owner also is always around and does the honors with a kind smile and sympathy. The environment is extremely charming and engaging and once you are settled, you can begin to enjoy the beauty that God built with so much dedication, combined with the comfort of the house.
Once you leave the reception, the view is breathtaking as the place where the premises were built, is exactly where the river begins to find the sea which means that if you walk few more meters, you’ll reach a magnificent and almost desert beach.
It doesn’t matter if it’s sunrise or sunset, your eyes will be filled with an astonishing view anyway and you’ll be mesmerized. But it’s not only nature that makes up the magical atmosphere for the guesthouse, you can enjoy a good walk along the beach, swimming at a very calm waters, fishing and when you hungry, you can enjoy a marvelous cuisine consisting of delicious dishes for reasonable prices. The drink is also varied and you can taste from the famous “cachaça” till the delicious “caipirinhas”, a variety types of beers, wines, whisky, among others spirits.
The music is also another strong point of the house that strives to meet all kinds of tastes through the MPB, northeastern music, the regional ones, to a large collection of international classic songs with a selection of musicians to make sure that your fun is guaranteed.
The accommodations are extremely welcoming with fair prices (a magnificent breakfast is included in the rate), which means that to enjoy this piece of paradise, you have no need to spend too much money (you can get more details visiting the website - http://pousadaaratu.com.br/index.html but to prove what I’m saying, only “in loco” so, if you are Brazilian or from any part of the world visiting Brazil, quite clearly Espirito Santo, have a look at this place. When you leave, you’ll feel fresh and renewed and for sure, you’ll won’t be the same anymore.
